In the State of Tlaxcala, there are 2 universities that offer a Bachelor's degree
specialized in Gerontology. The first of these is the Faculty of Studies
Superior Zaragoza (UNAM), where they offer the Degree in Development
Community for Aging; and the second is, the Autonomous University of
Tlaxcala, where the Degree in Gerontological Pedagogy is taught.
The Bachelor's degrees focused on Gerontology are beginning to be taught in our
country since 2004 with the need to serve this vulnerable group,
due to demographic change, for future professionals it will be vital
importance of responding to the needs of older adults.
Both have the purpose of generating scientific knowledge that allows
understand and explain human aging as a phenomenon, from the
interdisciplinary work, in addition the students will develop attitudes and
skills that will allow them to expose and understand aging and old age to
the inclusion of older adults in society. In such a way that the
Graduates of this degree will be able to generate policy proposals
to improve the quality of life of this sector, they will be able to act in a
ethics in the care of the elderly, may contribute to the inclusion of
older adults in society.

The Bachelor of Gerontology is undoubtedly an innovative response to change
demographic and is a good option to study if you want to explain changes
that we human beings suffer day by day.
